An S1 (Minor) radiation storm began on 28 October, 2021, at 1740 UTC (1:40 pm EDT). A Radiation Storm warning is in effect until 29 Oct at 1200 UTC (8:40 am EDT). The S1 event is in association with the X1 flare that occurred at 1535 UTC on 28 October - see related story.
