A geomagnetic storm whatch is in effect.

What is it?

An eruption from the sun on August 5th is likely to come to Earth and cause a moderate (G2) disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field, a geomagnetic storm.

When will it get here?

Tuesday, August 8th after midnight EDT or around 6 a.m. UTC
