G3 (Strong) Geomagnetic Storm Conditions Observed
An interplanetary shock was observed at the DSCOVR spacecraft at 12/0547 UTC, announcing the arrival of the forecasted 09 May CME. This observation was followed by a 51 nT sudden impulse at the Fredericksburg Geomagnetic Observatory (FRD) at 12/0643 UTC. G3 (Strong) geomagnetic storm conditions were observed at 12/1258 UTC (6:58 AM MDT) and 12/1759 UTC (11:59 AM MDT). The G3 Warning is valid until 12/2359 UTC (5:59 PM MDT).
