G1 Warning in effect through 24/0300 UTC (23/2300 ET)
published: Wednesday, August 24, 2016 03:07 UTC

A G1 (Minor) storm warning is currently in effect until 24/0300 UTC (23/2300 ET). Solar wind parameters have become enhanced and disturbed, with a primarily favorable magnetic orientation. These factors make for the now expected G1 conditions. Overall planetary geomagnetic responses have already reached the unsettled and active (K4) levels on 23 August. Additionally, a K4 warning remains in effect until 24/0600 UTC (24/0200 ET) and a G1 Watch continues for the entire 24 August UTC day.
