G1 Minor Storm Watch issued for 07 July 2023

G1 Minor Storm Watch issued for 07 July 2023
published: Saturday, July 08, 2023 22:10 UTC

Coronal dimming near AR3359 resulted in a coronal mass ejection (CME) in the early UTC hours of 04 July, 2023. LASCO C2 coronagraph imagery first observed a partial halo CME, with a likely Earth-directed component, at approximately 04/0348 UTC. Subsequent analysis indicated the likely impact at Earth on 07 July, sometime after midday. Magnetic responses are likely to reach the G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm levels, with a chance for G2 storm levels if more favorable conditions are observed.
