G1-Minor Geomagnetic Storms Likely 23-24 Aug 2015

WSA-Enlil Depiction
G1-Minor Geomagnetic Storms Likely 23-24 Aug 2015
published: Wednesday, August 26, 2015 00:54 UTC

G1-Minor geomagnetic storms are likely on 23 Aug 2015 due to a recurrent coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS). G1 levels are now expected to continue into 24 Aug 2015 as a combination of two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are predicted to arrive in conjunction with continued HSS effects. The WSA-Enlil model run pictured depicts the CME arrival early on the 24th.
