G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic Storm Watch for 30 March, 2017
published: Friday, March 31, 2017 02:27 UTC

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm watch is in effect for the 30 March, 2017 UTC-day. Elevated solar wind speeds are anticipated to continue due to a coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS) currently connected with Earth. Any periods of prolonged favorable interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) orientation at these higher solar wind speeds is likely to elicit isolated periods of G1 storming. Continue to monitor the SWPC webpage for the latest information.
