An M4.4 flare (R1-Minor HF Radio Blackout) occurred on 20 February, 2023, at 9:58 am EST (1458 UTC). The source was new NOAA/SWPC Region 3234, which rotated into view early today and has produced occasional optical subflares, as well as today's M4 flare.
