Region 2994 (N15, L=107) produced an impulsive X1 flare at 1347 UTC on 30 April 2022. Radio degradation was possible in sunlit locations, with the possibility for temporary radio blackouts over the Atlantic Ocean during the time of the event. Region 2994 is beyond the west limb and the associated CME is not expected to be Earth-directed.
