G1 (Minor) Storming levels reached on 7 July

G1 Auoral Oval forecast 07/1800-2100 UTC
G1 (Minor) Storming levels reached on 7 July
published: Sunday, July 10, 2016 20:26 UTC

The anticipated G1 (Minor) storming levels were first reached on 07 July at 1800 UTC (1400 ET). G1 levels were reached again on 07 July at 2047 UTC (1647 ET). These levels of geomagnetic activity are in response to ongoing elevated solar wind parameters from a coronal hole high speed stream (CH HSS). Because the solar wind environment remains favorable for continued G1 levels of response, the G1 warning has been extended and is now in effect until 08 July at 0900 UTC (08/0500 ET).
